Score Big With These Football Tailgating Party Recipes

It’s Football Time! 

I’ve got some great tailgating and party time recipes.  Fall, Football, crispness in the air – what a great time to make some yummy party food.

Whether you’re tailgating at the stadium or hosting a game day party at home, the key to a successful event is having a spread that will keep everyone satisfied.  These recipes are guaranteed to be some fan favorites!

Buffalo Chicken Dip, Loaded Nachos, Mini Sliders, Grilled BBQ Chicken, Stuffed Jalapeno Poppers – These recipes are easy to make, delicious and perfect for feeding a hungry crowd.

Loaded Nachos

Ingredients: Tortilla chips, 1 lb ground beef or chicken, 1 packet taco seasoning, 1 can black beans- drained and rinsed, 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese, Toppings – diced tomatoes, sliced jalapenos, black olives, sour cream, guacamole, chopped cilantro

Instructions: 

  1. Cook ground beef or chicken in a skillet over medium heat until browned.  add taco seasoning and cook according to packet instructions.
  2. Spread tortilla chips on a baking sheet.  Layer with seasoned meat, black beans and cheese.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  4. Top with your favorite toppings  and serve immediately.

 

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Ingredients:  2 cups shredded rotisserie chicken, 8 oz cream cheese, softened; 1/2 cup ranch dressing, 1/2 cup hot sauce, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles (optional), tortilla chips or celery sticks for serving

Instructions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Ina a bowl, mix the shredded chicken, cream cheese, ranch dressing, hot sauce and shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Transfer to a baking dish and sprinkle blue cheese crumbles on top, if using.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly.
  5. Serve warm with tortilla chips or celery sticks.

 

Mini Sliders

Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef or turkey, 1 packet onion soup mix, 12 slider buns, cheese slices, condiments – ketchup, mustard, pickles, lettuce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat grill or stovetop griddle to medium heat.
  2. Mix ground beef with onion soup mix.  Form into 12 small patties.
  3. Grill patties for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  4. Add cheese slices during the last minute of cooking.
  5. Serve on slider buns with your favorite condiments.

 

Grilled BBQ Chicken Wings

Ingredients: 2 lbs chicken wings, 1 cup BBQ sauce, 2 tablespoons olive oil, salt and pepper to taste

Instructions: 

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Toss wings in olive oil, salt and pepper.
  3. Grill wings for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and crispy.
  4. Brush with BBQ sauce during the last 5 minutes of grilling.
  5. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

 

Stuffed Jalapeno Poppers

Ingredients:  12 jalapenos – halved and seeds removed, 8 oz cream cheese – softened, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon (optional), 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese and bacon.
  3. Fill jalapenos halves with the cream cheese mixture.
  4. Mix the breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the jalapenos.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the jalapenos are tender and the tops are golden brown.
