On my recent Jennifer Kate’s Kitchen food tour, Cincinnati did not disappoint! Findlay Market, is one of Ohio’s oldest public markets. It opened in 1855! As soon as you walk through the gates, you see a vibrant hub of local vendors with flavors, fresh ingredients and culinary inspiration. It was overwhelming at first. We had to walk around and take it all in and then go back through to stop at each counter to say what was being offered. Everything! everything was offered!

We bought 2 different flavors of Olive oil and then of course had to have some fresh bread too. We bought salted rye bread which was delicious. Need cheese? They have it all!

Ditto for sausage, meat and seafood!

you’ll find everything from fresh produce and meats to gourmet treats and ready to eat meals.
What makes Findlay Market so special?
The atmosphere: Lively, local and full of personality.
The People: Friendly vendors who love to share their passion.
The Variety: You can snack, shop and explore foods from around the world, all in one place.
We ate lunch at French Crust Cafe and Bistro. It was an aesthetically pleasing French Cafe with delicious food. Our server, Javier, was fantastic too. The French dip and creamy chicken soup tasted like comfort in a bowl!

If you are planning a trip to Cincinnati, you have to visit Findlay Market! One tip that I have which is really a lesson learned: We wished we had a cooler or insulated bag with us to carry home perishable items.
